New Supplier: GeneMind

Integrated Sciences is pleased to announce a new distribution partnership with GeneMind Biosciences, expanding access to GeneMind sequencing platforms across Australia and New Zealand.
The addition of GeneMind completes the Integrated Sciences end-to-end next-generation sequencing workflow, enabling laboratories to access solutions spanning sample collection, nucleic acid extraction, QC, library preparation and target enrichment, automation, sequencing, and secondary and tertiary data analysis through one local partner.
Familiar SBS Chemistry with GeneMind Innovation
GeneMind sequencing platforms are built on sequencing-by-synthesis (SBS) chemistry, providing a familiar approach for laboratories already working with short-read NGS.
GeneMind combines SBS with its own innovations in sequencing chemistry, flow-cell design, fluorescence detection and AI-supported base calling. This includes its proprietary CMS (Cross Mountains and Seas) sequencing chemistry, developed to improve coverage and sequencing performance across challenging genomic regions and complex DNA structures.
GeneMind systems are also designed for compatibility with commonly used NGS libraries, allowing laboratories to retain established library preparation and target-enrichment workflows while introducing a new sequencing platform.
Sequencing Platforms for Different Throughput Needs
The GeneMind portfolio provides flexible sequencing options from rapid benchtop sequencing through to population-scale genomics.
- FASTASeq S is designed for laboratories where speed and workflow simplicity are priorities, offering rapid sequencing with PE150 runs completed in approximately 6.8 hours, together with streamlined run preparation and flexible flow-cell options.
- SURFSeq 5000 provides scalable, high-throughput sequencing with dual-flow-cell capability and multiple output configurations. The platform supports applications including WGS, WES, targeted sequencing, RNA-Seq, metagenomics, methylation sequencing and single-cell workflows.
- SURFSeq Q delivers up to 14 Tb per run and approximately 9 Tb per day for high throughput requirement, with independently addressable lanes providing greater flexibility for managing different projects and sample volumes within the same sequencing run.
Together, these platforms provide laboratories with the flexibility to select sequencing capacity based on their applications, turnaround-time requirements, and sample throughput.
Combined with Integrated Sciences’ existing portfolio of sample preparation, QC, library preparation, target enrichment, laboratory automation and genomic data analysis solutions, GeneMind enables us to provide a more connected sample-to-answer NGS workflow.
Integrated Sciences will provide local application, technical, engineering and commercial support to help laboratories evaluate, establish and optimise GeneMind sequencing workflows across Australia and New Zealand.
